Village Store News
A Message to Our Community
From the Acworth Community Project
Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We have some exciting news to share with you — and while it marks the end of one chapter, we believe it opens a wonderful new one for our beloved Acworth Village Store.

Since 2001, the Acworth Community Project has had the privilege of operating the Acworth Village Store. It has truly been a labor of love — for every volunteer, every board member, every employee, and every community supporter who has helped keep its doors open over the years. We are deeply grateful for the trust and warmth you have shown us throughout this journey.

The time has now come to pass the torch. In April, we will officially hand over the business to new owners who are not only Acworth residents, but also a woman-owned business — people who are deeply rooted in this community and share our commitment to keeping the store a true gathering place for all.

The new owners intend to carry on the spirit of the Acworth Village Store as a classic General Store, continuing to serve our community just as it always has. We couldn’t be more pleased with this direction, and we offer them our full and enthusiastic support.

The building itself will remain in the hands of the Acworth Historical Society, ensuring that this cherished piece of our town’s heritage is preserved for generations to come. We are also pleased to share that the Acworth Community Project will be contributing funds from the donations it has received to the Historical Society to help meet the grant match for the building — a meaningful way to give back and invest in the long-term care of this special place.

With this transition, the Acworth Community Project will now be able to turn its focus to other pressing needs in our community. We look forward to continuing to serve Acworth in new and meaningful ways.
Thank you for your ongoing love and support of the Acworth Village Store — and of this community. The best days are still ahead.

With gratitude and warmth,
The Acworth Community Project
